Advocacy Appointment
Advocacy Support Services
Johnson’s JellyBeans provides special education advocacy to help parents feel informed, prepared, and supported as they navigate the school system. Advocacy is personalized to each child and family, with a focus on collaboration, clarity, and the child’s real needs.
Guidance and Planning
We help parents understand available services, programs, and accommodations that may support their child. Together, we talk through options and next steps based on your child’s individual needs and school situation.
Understanding Evaluations and Reports
We assist parents in reviewing evaluations and reports, explaining what the information means in clear, everyday language. Our goal is to help families understand how these documents impact services and decisions.
Written Communication Support
We help draft written requests, responses, and concerns to schools so communication is clear, organized, and effective. This includes support with written requests for evaluations, services, or accommodations.
IEP and 504 Meeting Preparation
We prepare parents for IEP and 504 meetings by helping prioritize goals, identify concerns, and organize supporting information. Parents leave feeling more confident and ready to participate in meetings.
Document Review
We review special education documents before and after IEP and 504 meetings to help ensure accuracy, clarity, and follow through.
Meeting Support
When appropriate, we can attend IEP and 504 meetings with parents to provide guidance and support during the process.
Case Review and Referrals
We help parents understand the strengths of their case and discuss possible next steps. When legal support may be needed, we can offer referrals to special education attorneys.
Free Consultation
Every situation is different. We offer a free consultation so families can share their concerns, ask questions, and decide if advocacy support is the right fit.
